The show ran until early 1994, when it was replaced by Cinemystique: Illusions of the Night (starring the Pendragons) followed by Beetlejuice’s Rocking Graveyard Revue. Work began on the attraction in 1982 at Landmark, and the show opened to great acclaim on June 18th 1983 with a total budget of $5 million, in the Castle Theatre on the Upper Lot at Universal Studios Hollywood. The previous show in the venue was Castle Dracula, which closed in January 1983.
